This lovely detached, traditional Cornish cottage, whose name is believed to mean House of Welcome, is really very special. Set down a narrow country lane with hedgerows bursting with wildflowers, the cottage has a gorgeous, enclosed garden, a completely secluded sun-trap during the summer months. Inside, Deugh an Chy really does live up to its name (although watch out for one or two low lintels). The spacious sitting/dining-room has a deep, comfortable sofa and chairs, an open granite fireplace for cooler evenings, window seats and a pine dining-table and chairs. A bright, well-equipped kitchen and efficient central heating makes this a welcoming winter retreat as well as an ideal summer base. Upstairs there are one or two steps from the landing into the pretty, spacious bedrooms, two of which look out over the garden. This is a lovely cottage with plenty of room to unwind, and is in an ideal location for exploring south west Cornwall. Wireless broadband access for laptops is available at this property. *A cot is not provided, please bring your own travel cot. Please note that the changeover times are 5pm on arrival and 12 noon on departure.
