Set at the head of one of Helford River’s most beautiful tidal creeks, Polwheveral Mill (the property on the far right of the photograph) is a perfect location for exploring the many attractions that Cornwall has to offer. This 16th Century grain mill has been sensitively converted into two apartments, each with its own garden and views to the creek. The adjoining fields and nearby woodland provide plenty of space for exploring and walking. Ideal for a family holiday, whatever the weather, you can relax and enjoy a taste of paradise either in the beautiful gardens or indoors where the decor of these attractive apartments will please the most discerning guests. Just a short walk up the hill is an award-winning pub with an excellent restaurant, and nearby is the village of Constantine which boasts a selection of local shops. A field belonging to the mill is available for guests’ use, providing plenty of space to fly a kite, play rounders or perhaps enjoy a picnic. Please note these properties have a private water supply which is tested regularly.

Gwel an Dowr (view of the water) is a very special, romantic hideaway on the ground floor, with a cottage garden and patio-area to the front and its own ‘breakfast bench’ overlooking the creek where you can watch herons, egrets, swans and the resident kingfisher. This delightful apartment has a sitting-area with two generous sofas and a step to the dining-area. The galley kitchen is very well-equipped and the bedroom has a draped four-poster bed and an en suite shower-room with a double shower.
