These two small, detached granite barns sit harmoniously in a peaceful setting looking towards the Luxulyan valley, a woodland landscape in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. From the gently sloping, shared driveway, Meadowsweet is on the right and Cowslip is tucked neatly to the left. All on one level, both barns are compact but fully equipped and comfortably furnished. A low granite wall separates the properties, and a mature hedge to one side shelters them both. Situated outside the small village of Lanlivery, the Owners live nearby and farm the surrounding fields. Close by is a pathway leading to the Saints’ Way, an ancient drover’s route following the lines of the sculpted granite landscape which evokes images of ancient myths and legends. In the distance is Helman Tor, surrounded by a nature reserve. Covering miles from coast to coast, this is an ideal way to explore the Cornish countryside on foot, either southwards towards the sailing waters of Fowey or north to Padstow, with its bustling harbour, seafood restaurants and the beautiful Camel Estuary. Fowey is just seven miles by car, the Eden Project is fifteen minutes’ drive away, and the south coast, offering great beauty and diversity with its sandy beaches, sheltered coves, watersports and sub-tropical gardens is easily accessible, with the sandy beach at Carlyon Bay within six miles.
