This spacious, comfortable, well-equipped home-from-home is ideally situated for exploring the sandy beaches and magnificent coastlines of both north and south Cornwall. With the watersports centre at Stithians Reservoir nearby, Gregwartha Farmhouse also lies within driving distance of many other attractions including Falmouth’s National Maritime Museum Cornwall, several beautiful gardens, and the Eden Project. Believed to date from the 17th Century, this lovely old farmhouse retains many original features. Beamed ceilings, brass lamps, exposed granite quoins and an ornamental inglenook fireplace complement the sitting/dining-room’s traditional furnishings; the entire family can banquet in style at the large dining-table, enjoying a meal prepared on the Aga. Upstairs, a step up from the landing leads into most rooms, two of the attractively decorated bedrooms with their own shower cubicles. The large enclosed garden has a wonderful paved patio and barbecue-area, colourful tubs and flowerbeds, and steps up onto the lawn – where there is plenty of space for children to play. Gregwartha is a working dairy farm and the hospitable Owners, who live in a separate self-contained part of the house, will be delighted to show guests around the farm.
