Deep in mid-Devon countryside, a few miles from the farming town of Holsworthy, Buttercup Pastures is a large secluded detached farmhouse in a rural location yet within easy driving distance of several beaches and a variety of family attractions. Found down a farm lane (not suitable for low suspension vehicles) shared only with a neighbouring farmer, this lovely 16th Century farmhouse, which has a large garden overlooking fields, is ideal for a family gathering. The ground floor is tiled throughout and, for leisurely meals, there is a spacious kitchen/diner and a separate dining-room for special occasions. There is also a cosy sitting-room with beamed ceiling, an inglenook fireplace and a wood-burner. Upstairs are four pretty bedrooms, one en suite, with pine floors (take care with the steps on the landing) and a family bathroom. Holsworthy has a weekly livestock and street market and other nearby attractions include Dartington Glass, the steep fishing village of Clovelly, RHS Rosemoor gardens and the spectacular north Devon coastline. This house is perfect for a great holiday whatever the season. Please note the water is from a private supply, tested regularly.
