Westcombe
1429 is no longer with usIf you were looking for cottages like Westcombe, how about trying these:
Westcombe occupies a commanding elevated position overlooking Bigbury Bay and is a lovely barn conversion in this unique little development of eight barns. Do not be fooled by the front approach, Westcombe is really quite roomy. The accommodation is reversed to allow wonderful views from the kitchen/diner over nearby Burgh Island and the sea beyond. The sitting-room is most attractive with a high-vaulted ceiling and exposed scissor beams. Very comfortably furnished, there is a wood-burner effect electric stove making an attractive focal point to this light and spacious room. Downstairs, all three bedrooms are very pretty, the double having a brass and cast iron bed. This room also has glimpses of the sea and French doors leading out to the wooden deck (see photograph). Bigbury-on-Sea, less than half a mile down the steep hill (take care as there is no footpath), is a charming holiday village with wonderful sandy beaches and an 18 hole golf course.
