With its very mild climate, you’d be forgiven for thinking you weren’t in England, especially with the lunar-esque landscapes of china clay pits around Fowey, the Eden project being one of the best. Further south is Falmouth, famous for the third deepest natural harbour in the world. Travel the north coast from Land’s End along to St Ives, on up to Padstow and as far as Bude for a wide-ranging experience of Cornish levels.
