Firework celebrations 2011
Bonfires, sparklers, marshmallows on sticks. It only happens once a year so go to as many as you can!

Gunpowder, Treason and Plot!’
Every child can chant the rhyme, but if you can’t answer their questions about ‘who is this Guy?’ and ‘why are we burning him?’, it might be worth checking History UK for a reminder of what is being remembered!
The West Country celebrates the Gunpowder Plot annually with its Carnival dating back to the actual event of 1605. The instigator of the treason was from Nether Stowey, near Bridgwater and so the town became the centre-point for the associated bonfire.
Nowadays, there are many associated carnivals and celebrations surrounding the famous Bridgwater Carnival, which is being held this year on 4th November. Here are a few throughout the South West counties, that could be taking place within range of your holiday cottage:
