Dragon’s Den with Classic and Cool Earth
Philanthropy, social entrepreneurship, Cool Earth and Classic, all in a day's work at Falmouth School.

Philanthropy and Social Entrepreneurship were the lessons of the day for Year 8 pupils at Falmouth School. Cool Earth taught about the charity’s conservation work with projects including equipping schools in Peru, forestry training in Ecuador and a replanting scheme in Borneo. Our Chairman Simon (right) was the Dragon with the cash, with Classic Cottages Property Owner Luci Isaacson and Matthew Owen from Cool Earth backing him up.
Each group of students pitched for funding for each of the charity projects, in a challenging but fun way that helped their understanding of social responsibility and environmental concerns, as well as the power of a sales pitch of course!
Classic Cottages have supported Cool Earth for three years now by sponsoring endangered rainforest as part of our commitment to the environment and our Green Philosophy. You can find out how the teenagers got on in this press release.
