Dog friendly in Cornwall
Beaches galore around Cornwall means it is handy to know which ones are available to take your doggy on once the peak season bans are lifted at the end of September.
This far western peninsula of England is all but surrounded by sea. Some try to argue it’s a country in its own right. However mid-Cornwall secures us to neighbouring Devon with an expanse of moorland from Bodmin to Dartmoor – perfect for dog walking at any time of year. The rest of the county has many a green space, but what we really covet here is the coastline. There are so many beaches in Cornwall that thankfully VisitCornwall.com has put together a downloadable Cornwall Visitor Guide for Dog Owners which as well as listing attractions to visit, also gives a good guide to which beaches you can take your dog to.

A man-made shade may be the envy of everyone on the beach, but we wouldn’t recommend it for the weekend. If you want to take your best friend on holiday with you to skip along the shore with, you’re going to need somewhere to stay.
