Classic Volunteer with Dorset AONB
A day out in Dorset, clearing protected countryside for the Dorset AONB near the Hardy Monument.

It was typical October weather when a team of Classic Cottages staff and cottage owners set off up to Dorset for a day’s hard graft against the elements. Thankfully, it turned out to be a beautiful bright day – ideal for clearing protected landscape of bushes, brambles and bracken from the area around Black Down, near Dorset’s Hardy Monument.
Our Managing Director, three Property Managers, the Booking Office Manager and two other staff members joined four of our Dorset property Owners in helping the staff from the Dorset AONB, and rangers from Dorset Countryside to conserve Dorset’s countryside.
Everyone enjoyed a day out, rewarded with tea, cakes and amazing sandwiches from Anna H, Property Manager, with the satisfaction of good day’s work done.
You can read more in the full press release article and see lots of photographs from the day on our Facebook page.
