Classic Soup Kitchen Success October 2011
Serving up homemade soup to the hungry Classic team to raise money for a local good cause.
It’s becoming a bit of a tradition in the cooler months at our offices in Helston, Cornwall. There’s nothing better when it’s wintery outside than a steaming bowl of homemade soup, and if you can make a few pennies for a good cause in the meantime then it is definitely worthwhile. We started the year with a Classic Soup Kitchen in February of this year, with all proceeds going to St Julia’s Hospice.
This time a near banquet of soups, homemade breads, mini-pies, buns and honeycomb were on offer to the 20 or so team of staff that were working that day.
And thankfully everyone dug deep and tucked in to make over £225 for local teenager Josh Jones to help him fulfil his dreams, having been diagnosed with a terminal illness recently.
You can read the full press release about the event in ‘Another ‘soup-er’ fundraising effort by Classic’s Helston team’.
